TERNYATA SOSOK DI GOOGLE DOODLE HARI INI ADALAH ANGGOTA MPR RI

GOOGLE doodle hari ini menampilkan sosok seseorang berparas Indonesia, dengan menggunakan kemeja putih dipadu dengan dasi dan juga berlatarkan alat-alat elektro. Jumat 15 April 2016.

Klikkabar.com pun melakukan penelusuran terkait sosok yang dipasang Google di halaman utamanya itu. Ternyata sosok tersebut adalah Prof. Dr. Samaun Samadikun yang pernah menjadi anggota MPR RI (Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia) sebagai utusan golangan pada tahun 1987-1992.

Prof. Dr. Samaun Samadikun adalah salah satu pendiri dari Akademi Ilmu Pengetahuan Islam (1986) dan salah satu pendiri Akademi Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia.

Ia adalah penulis dan turut menulis banyak publikasi ilmiah nasional maupun internasional dalam bidang tunnel diodes, instrumentasi nuklir, fabrikasi IC, energi, industri elektronika, dan pendidikan serta editor buku “mikroelektronika”.

Jasa-jasanya di bidang elektronika diakui dunia ilmu pengetahuan, termasuk cita-citanya menjadikan kota Bandung sebagai “Kota Chip” di Indonesia.

Samaun Samadikun memprakarsai program Bandung High Technology Valley(BHTV). Ia selalu mendorong adanya investasi global untuk industri elektronika agar terbuka lapangan kerja di bidang ini. Ia juga menginginkan industri elektronika Indonesia untuk lebih berorientasi ekspor, agar industri ini dapat menghasilkan devisa. Baginya, kemajuan industri elektronika Indonesia harus diukur dari jumlah nilai ekspor dan jumlah lapangan kerja.

Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia PII memberikannya penghargaan Adhikara Rekayasa pada tahun 1984. Ia juga memperoleh penghargaan medali Pengabdi Ilmiah Nasional (1978), dan Medali Mahaputra Utama (1994) dari pemerintah Indonesia. Samaun Samadikun juga memperoleh “The 1998 Award of the Association of South Eastern Asian Nations (ASEAN)” untuk menghargai dedikasinya pada dunia ilmu pengetahuan. Penghargaan tinggi lainnya yang diterimanya adalah Satya Lencana Karya Satya Kelas I, Hadiah Ilmu Pengetahuan 1979, Satya Lencana Dwidyasistha 1983 dari Menhankam/Pangab, dan “Meritorious Service Award”, ASEAN COST, 1999.
